What are the Levels of HondaTrue Certification?

Unlike some CPO programs from other brands, Honda has three different classifications for used cars. Each ranking has different qualifications and a host of great benefits to enjoy.

HondaTrue Certified+

This is the highest level of certification a used Honda model can have. The only Honda cars that make the cut for this category are ones released within the past year or so. For this level of certification, the used Honda must pass a comprehensive 182-point inspection process by a Honda-certified technician. If there are any issues we miss, or if the vehicle is not totally up to your specifications, there is a three-day exchange policy included with HondaTrue+ certification.

Other HondaTrue Certified+ benefits include:

• Seven-Year/100,000-Mile (whichever event occurs first) Powertrain Limited Warranty
• New Vehicle Warranty: As all HondaTrue Certified+ models are like-new, they will enjoy the remaining coverage of their five-year/86,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty, giving you coverage of non-powertrain components.
• Roadside assistance- includes travel reimbursement allowances, lockout protection, jump starts, gas delivery, and more

HondaTrue Certified

HondaTrue Certified is the next level of certification, but certainly not the least. Vehicles that qualify for this level of certification have passed the same 182-point inspection process, so you can find just as much value with them as HondaTrue Certified+. The biggest difference between these two programs is that more vehicles can be accepted for Certified status as these vehicles can be up to five years old. Benefits of this certification level include:

• New Vehicle Warranty: Vehicles purchased within this warranty period enjoy four years/48,000 miles of non-powertrain coverage. Cars purchased after this period ends enjoy 12 months/12,000 miles of coverage
• Seven-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty

• Roadside assistance with concierge services/trip interruption (same as HondaTrue Certified+)

HondaTrue Used

HondaTrue Used cars receive the same comprehensive scrutiny as the other levels of certification. However, at this level, older Honda models are eligible, with vehicles up to 10 years old considered. Each must pass the same comprehensive inspection and enjoy some of the same benefits as the other levels. HondaTrue Used car benefits include:
