Honda is dedicated to reducing the company's environmental footprint, and that inspires how they approach every aspect of how the company works. They're on a mission to ensure "Blue Skies for Our Children," protecting the Earth for all future generations.
As part of the company's effort to reduce its environmental impact, Honda has committed to voluntarily reducing their CO2 emissions by 50 percent by the year 2050 (compared to a baseline established in 2000). And Honda is proud to offer its most fuel-efficient lineup ever, even as it searches for ways to improve fuel economy:
- Hybrid vehicles rely on two power sources, offering exceptional fuel economy and lower emissions than gasoline-powered vehicles.
- Battery electric vehicles, like the Honda Fit EV, use rechargeable lithium batteries and electric motors to provide power to the wheels.
- Fuel-cell electric vehicles offer long-range, all-electric and zero-emission driving. Fueled by hydrogen (not batteries), the vehicles generate electricity as required, while refueling with hydrogen takes only a few minutes.
Honda engineers keep working on developing sustainability solutions to suit our smarter, mobile world. The company is also devising sustainability programs for dealerships, helping them cut their energy use while aiming for an eventual goal of operating with 100 percent renewable energy.
Our showroom at 925 Merritt Boulevard in Baltimore proudly serves Honda drivers from the Washington D.C., Ellicott City, Glen Burnie and Parkville areas.
