Honda automobiles fit with music like peanut butter goes together with jelly. Using the latest audio technology features, Honda equips its vehicles with modern sound systems that allow you to enjoy music in a variety of ways. Both Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ are available in the new 2017 Honda Accord Sedan, for example. With these smartphone integrations, you can stream your favorite artists’ songs directly from your smartphone through the speakers of your 2017 Accord. Of course, should you wish to turn on an a.m. radio station to listen to the Baltimore Ravens play a game on a Sunday afternoon with crystal clear sound that is always an option. But outside of its cars’ interior infotainment features, Honda is using music in another way to spread cultural diversity in the world.

The TOMODACHI Honda Cultural Exchange Program brings Japanese students to the United States for two weeks to learn about American cultural traditions through music. In 2016, Honda chose students from the disaster-afflicted Tohoku Region of Japan. These students had opportunities to socialize with local American high school students, attend music concerts, and participate in the Rose Parade. Other non-musical experiences for the Japanese students included meeting U.S. armed forces members and getting behind the scenes tours of different U.S. businesses to learn how they operate.
