The Geneva Motor Show was the stage for Honda to unveil a new concept vehicle with very sporty features and style.
The Honda Civic Type R took the stage with the brands fresh VTEC TURBO engine, which is capable of producing up to 276 horsepower. This number is the same as the Seat Leon Cupra, the current record holder for fastest lap time by a front-drive car at the famous Nurburgring.
Honda has high hopes that their new hot hatch will dethrone the current champion in Germany when it is ready to rip the track, and from the looks of it we believe it has a solid chance.
Alongside the reveal in Geneva, Honda also released a video to show off the hot hatch style, take a look below:
We look forward to learning more about this ride and seeing it take to the track to topple the current king of the ring. Make sure you keep in the loop here on our blog as the day comes for our hatch to challenge the record in Germany.
In the meantime stop by our Baltimore, Maryland showroom to see the new Honda models we currently offer, we look forward to seeing you.
