It's very rewarding reviewing the sales record of each month. It means that we at Norris Honda and dealers across the nation are doing everything for the customer. There's a Honda for everyone, and we're dedicated to finding that perfect match.
Honda Motor Co. saw its best August ever thus far with a total of 166,432 units sold. That's an increase of 26.7 percent over August of last year. The Honda Division did the Honda name proud, too. The Division posted sales of 149,381 units, which is a 29.1 percent increase over August 2012.
What vehicles have been flying out of dealerships? Many people have taken to the CR-V. This past month, it broke its all-time record that was set in March 2012. Compared to last month, that put the crossover up 45.1 percent.
Then there's the Civic celebrated its best August since 2009 with sales of 39,458 units. Sedan shoppers also like the Accord which likewise posted over 38,000 sales units.
Other heavy contributors are the Pilot and the Ridgeline.
"With three of our core models topping 30,000 units and the Honda brand up more than 29 percent, our August sales definitely didn't take a break for the holiday weekend," explains John Mendel, executive vice president of sales at American Honda. "We're keeping our foot on the gas as we transition into the 2014 model year including the introduction an all-new Accord Hybrid in October."1
So, as you can see, Honda dealers across America have been kept fairly busy, and we love every minute of it. If you're considering a new Honda for yourself, someone else, or just want to check out what's in the showroom, come by our location in Baltimore, MD. We look forward to seeing you!
