Well, it looks like Honda's commitment to providing what its customers need is paying off. We'd argue that any time is a good time to consider a new Honda but June seems to have been a great time to purchase one, especially a light truck. Want proof? Just take a look at the June sales reports.
It was just a couple of blog posts ago where we shared the success of Honda's May sales, but we thought we'd show that Honda's consistent, and that successful sales are certainly not a rarity with our favorite Japanese automaker. For the month of June, Honda reports a 9.7 percent increase over this time last year with sales of 136,915 units. The division contributed spectacularly with a 12.5 increase with 13,765 units sold.
So, which of Honda's "light trucks" gave the company the boost it needed? We have to turn to the CR-V, for one. The CR-V ended the month on a record high of 26,572 units sold, or a 14.1 increase over June 2012.
The Pilot did its share in June as well with a record sales of 12,085 units. In fact, it's the best June the model's had since 2005. The month resulted in a 21.3 increase.
Finally, we have to give it up for the Odyssey which pulled in 14,000 sales units--a 26 percent increase.
So there you have it, June's success. What will this month bring? If you've been thinking it's time for a new Honda, it probably is!
