Here at Norris Honda we value the level of safety that is offered in the new Honda lineup. Honda takes great measures to demonstrate its commitment to keeping drivers in the greater Baltimore area safe, especially when it involves ensuring that a factory mistake gets properly corrected. This is why Honda recently announced a recall on Honda Odysssey minivans from the 2011 to 2013 model years, and Honda Pilot crossovers from the 2009 to 2013 model years.

To outline the need for the recall, Honda released a press release about the issue and explained, "Driver's-side airbags in these vehicles potentially were assembled without some of the rivets that secure the airbag's plastic cover."1

The impact the missing rivets could have on the vehicle involves the improper deployment of a driver's side airbag, which would be a safety hazard in the event of a crash. Although no safety incidences have been reported in response to this issue, to ensure that customers take proper precautions Honda is notifying owners at risk by mail starting in February.

If you are an owner of one of these vehicles being recalled, we recommend you take them to Norris Honda, or your local dealership to be inspected by the experienced Honda service and repair specialists that are dedicated to ensuring your vehicle is as safe as possible. We are conveniently located at 952 Merritt Blvd Baltimore, MD 21222, and would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this recent recall. Also, if you have any other safety concerns about your vehicle be sure to visit our Honda parts center so we can assist you in any way that we can. Your safety remains our number one priority.
