Whenever customers from the greater Baltimore area stop in to check out our Honda accessories, we are excited to see what they have in mind for customizing their vehicle. After all, we like to think of the cars we drive as an expression of our personality and character. For one particular Honda owner, he brought his customization to a whole new level, allowing his creativity to really shine through.

Shawn Lisjack saw his 1992 Honda Civic VX hatchback as a blank canvas, and went to work with his Dremel to spend over 6,000 hours engraving its exterior. To put that into perspective, that would be 250 days of continuous work without any breaks. Now that is some serious dedication.

To begin, Lisjack upgraded the vehicle with customized carbon fiber Honda parts. He then primed it with white paint before adding a black top-coat. This provided the perfect surface that would make his engravings really pop. As far as designs go, he drew inspiration from Japanese-inspired dragons and logos from Monster Energy Drink and Dremel. Each and every square inch of his Honda is covered in intricate designs.

Believe it or not, the model isn't quite completed to Lisjack's standards. Once the engraving is finished, he plans to add color to the designs so that they provide more of a contrast to the black paint. The final step will be to apply a transparent protective top coat that will preserve all of his hard work. Here at Norris Honda, we predict the finished customized Civic will definitely draw a lot of attention from on-lookers.

While you might not be willing to dedicate this many hours to customizing your new or used Honda vehicle, we'd  love to offer you tips for how you can still give it some extra character. Come visit us at 925 Merritt Blvd Baltimore, MD 21222 any time during our normal business hours and we would be more than happy to help satisfy your customization needs!
