Norris Honda of Baltimore has been eager for the Honda Fit EV to hit U.S. shores since we first saw the concept, what seems like many moons ago. Now, the first model has arrived; and the keys are in the hands of two, long-time Honda enthusiasts from Ventura County, CA, who are equally excited about the Fit EV's first-class efficiency as they are it's pep.

Speaking on the Honda Fit EV, inaugural owner, Matt Walton says, "The Honda Fit EV is not only a sustainable and energy-efficient transportation option with the highest fuel-efficiency rating of any EV, but it has the added bonus of being fun-to-drive and can fully recharge from 'empty' to 'full' in less than three hours."1

How did Matt, and his wife Becky, get the first Honda Fit EV?

Easy. They were the first people to register to lease the highly-anticipated model online. Much like you and most of us at Norris Honda would, they'll be using it as an everyday commuter car.

The Walton's pre- Honda Fit EV car?

A Honda Odyssey, which they say will continue to serve as a secondary set of wheels. Among the other Honda models the Waltons have enjoyed since first becoming brand enthusiasts in the 70s are the Honda N600 and Honda Z600… We bet you haven't heard those model names in a while.

Interested in adopting a Honda Fit EV of your own?

Be sure to look for it arriving to showrooms in the states of California and Oregon throughout the remainder of 2012. And, don't worry east coasters. In early 2013, you'll have the opportunity to join in the fun too.
