Every year, automakers anxiously await their annual report cards from widely followed and revered Consumer Reports. This year, proving their consistency in excellence, Honda did not disappoint. According to Consumer Reports' April auto issue, "Honda...still make[s] the best vehicles overall..."1. The report cards are carefully calculated based on the company's predicted reliability rankings, its current model lineup, and the performance of the models evaluated by Consumer Reports' very own engineers.
Consumer Reports' 2011 Report Card for Honda (includes Acura)
- Overall Score: 74- Average Test Score: 75
- Reliability: Very Good
- Tested Vehicle Recommended: 76%
- Most are reliable and well-rounded performers. Hondas usually handle well but suffer from road noise.
- Highs: Ride, handling, powertrains, controls, crash-test results
- Lows: Road noise
Overall, Honda received excellent scores with few areas where Consumer Reports thinks there's room for improvement. However, as Honda is constantly striving to elevate drivers' experience, we're certain they'll take this feedback constructively and expect to see an even better report card, next year.
