For over 20 years Honda has partnered with Little League® Baseball and Softball , so it only makes sense that the company helped restore the OFA Little League's facilities in Houston. The league's facilities were damaged by consistent flooding in 2016, so Honda donated a $55,000 grant to the Honda Ridgeline Little League Community Project in support of the renovation efforts.
The grant enabled the league to repair the fields, dugouts, protective netting, fences, bleachers and install new concession stand equipment. Thanks to local Honda dealers, community volunteers and the versatile Honda Ridgeline -- which was put to work during the renovation, hundred of children were able to start the 2017 season on the right path.
In a press release, Susie Rossick, Assistant Vice President of Honda Automobile Marketing, observed, "Honda is dedicated to helping young people strive to pursue their dreams and our Honda Little League Grant Program enables us to help communities overcome damage from weather related disasters, like flooding experienced in this neighborhood of Houston last year."
