This year's New York International Auto Show will be the site of the worldwide debuts of both the Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid and Honda Clarity Electric vehicles that are joining the 2017 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell. Per Honda, the Honda Clarity series will be the first to give customers a full selection of fuel cell, plug-in hybrid and battery electric powertrain options.
Honda has established a plan to see two-thirds of their global auto sales derived from electrified vehicles by the year 2030, and the Clarity series is another step towards meeting this ambitious goal. All three vehicles in the series feature aerodynamic bodies, electric drive torque and acceleration and dynamic handling, and they're built using environmentally-responsible materials.
The Clarity Plug-in Hybrid will launch in every state and combines an all-electric driving range with a gasoline-hybrid extended range mode, while t he Clarity Electric delivers an affordable five-passenger battery electric option to the marketplace.
