Any day of the year is a good time to make teens aware of safe driving habits, but the week of October 16-22, 2016 is officially National Teen Driving Safety Week. In a recent study by State Farm, teens self-reported their driving habits, and over 80 percent use their cellphones while driving. Not only that, but a strong correlation was found between teens' willingness to use their smartphones and their likelihood to engage in other dangerous driving behaviors such as speeding, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or failing to wear a seatbelt. Honda discourages all drivers from using their smartphones while driving, and new technology is making that easier than ever before. The new Honda lineup offers the available Honda Sensing system of driver assistive technology, as well as available Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®. Both features seamlessly integrate your smartphone capabilities through the built-in Display Audio Touch-Screen, making access to your apps safe and easy. Visit Norris Honda and ask one of our sales associates to show you all of the innovative safety and technology features available on all of our new Honda vehicles. You can lose control when you speed. Slow down. Don’t drive like you’re five. #NTDSW pic.twitter.com/mjskBYBbrf
