For the first half of the year, the Honda Accord is once again America's most popular car, while the Honda CR-V is the best-selling SUV, a position the SUV has held for the past decade. The record sales numbers and other information were collected from new-vehicle retail registration data from IHS Automotive, a data publishing company. Honda predicts that, if sale trends continue, the company will repeat their 2013 full-year results as a top retail pick for U.S. consumers.
This great news is announced as the new 2015 Honda Accord Sedan, Coupe and Hybrid models begin to go on sale. The Sedan and Coupe models were given numerous upgrades, such as HomeLink® universal remote capabilities, Honda LaneWatch and auto-dimming rearview mirror.
In addition to being America's most popular car, the 2014 Accord also received numerous other accolades. For example, Car and Driver gave the Accord their "10 Best" title an outstanding 28 times. Edmunds.com named the vehicle "Best Family Car," while Kelley Blue Book's KBB.com said the Accord had one of the best resale values for a midsized sedan.
