Many of you in the greater Baltimore area, may already be familiar with the emission free Honda Fit EV model which is becoming well established on the west coast. However rather than just reading about it, you could very well have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of your very own sometime in the near future. This is because Honda has decided to bring the Fit EV to the east coast, allowing more drivers to experience this all electric vehicle.
More specifically, east coasters can expect to see
this model popping up at dealerships in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts,
New Jersey and New York. What's even more exciting, is that it will be
available with the same Honda
leasing opportunity that was available in California and
Oregon, where the Fit EV debuted in the US last summer.
This means, that within the next couple of months this model could be available at Norris Honda serving the Washington DC area. Stay tuned to our Norris Honda blog so we can bring you the latest details about its arrival.
Just how efficient is the Fit EV?
In order to charge the vehicle, an onboard charger suitable for 120-volt outlets or for a quicker charge it can be plugged into a 240-volt AC power supply. This will charge the vehicle in just under three hours. The Fit EV offers a driving range of 82 miles, receiving an EPA rated miles per gallon equivalency of 118 MPGe combined.* To break this down further, for every 100 miles driven the vehicle uses only 29 kilowatt hours.
