As several parts of the East coast continue to recover from the impacts of Hurricane Sandy, many homes, parks and athletic fields remain damaged. Honda, the official vehicle sponsor of Little League Baseball came forth to lend a helping hand by donating $50,000 to the Staten Island Little League. This money was put towards rebuilding their facilities that were destroyed by the storm, and more importantly, bringing laughter and hope back into the lives of the teams and their families.

Here at Norris Honda we were excited to learn that the league's fields, bleachers and dugouts were completed just in time for the kick-off of the 32-team opening day which took place on April 20th. None of this would have been possible without the automaker's generous donation. In addition, fundraising events took place at the game to encourage community awareness and raise money for new scoreboards, field lights, and other equipment that needs replacing.

It sounds like the season opener was quite the exciting day, especially with fundraising events like "Sing Badly for a Good Cause: Car-o-oke" taking place. This involved parents climbing inside a Honda Odyssey minivan and singing their worst version of the song "Take Me Out to the Ball Game." Honda donated an additional $50 to the Staten Island Little League for each brave individual who participated in the event.

We are truly impressed with the way Honda took the time to go above and beyond to help bring smiles back into the lives of many families who were devastated by Hurricane Sandy. This is yet another reason why we proudly stock our Baltimore, MD showroom with such a great selection of new and used Honda  inventory. To check out what we have available, we invite you to stop in for a test drive or to get any of your questions answers. We look forward to assisting you in the future!
